Pat
Birmingham Pat Birmingham has over
thirty years of criminal law experience and is one of
only sixteen Oregon criminal lawyers listed in Best Lawyers
in America and is also listed in the National Directory of
Criminal Defense Lawyers.
From 1975 to the present, Pat has practiced criminal law
in Oregon and California and has tried and won virtually
every kind of criminal case from drunk driving to murder.
He has also defended clients against charges in so-called
"white-collar" crimes such as embezzlement
and real estate or bank fraud.
Pat is especially adept in defending high-profile clients
where prosecutors may use criminal charges to make "examples"
of corporate, business, and community leaders. Pat possesses
the communication savvy needed to cope with the bright, unrelenting
eye of news media. He has appeared on television and has been
interviewed by experienced reporters. He has contacts with
local reporters and knows the unspoken "media rules,"
enabling him to help you avoid disastrous public relations
pitfalls.
While Pat deals with complex criminal cases,
he also represents clients caught up in other unfortunate
situations. These might range from an assault after
a Super Bowl party where punches are thrown to the "one
for the road" that results in a drunk driving charge.
